Hand built cabin in the swiss chalet style with rustic charm. Located on 11 acres with one other cabin, 23 km West of Golden and 70 km East of Rogers Pass. Kitchen includes a modern convection oven, stove, high end fridge, portable dishwasher. Wood stove and electric baseboards for heat. Starlink internet. The cabin is not suited for tall people, as the ceilings are only 6.5 feet tall on the ground floor and shorter in the attic. The second bedroom is in the attic, with a vaulted style ceiling from 0-5ft tall. Therefore I affectionately call it my hobbit house ;) You can cross country ski and snowshoe around the property and along the road to the nearby river in winter. Gorgeous views of the Rockies to the East and Purcells to the West. The cabin may have pipes freeze temporarily during extreme cold snaps, e.g. less than -20C and tenants must be OK living without running water during such weather conditions. You can fill camping jugs in Golden at a municipal water station. Rent is $1800 excluding electricity and plowing. Viewings to be held on weekends until filled.
